How to setup the disk heartbeat in HACMP6/aix6.

1. Make sure bos.clvm.enh is installed.

2. Connect to SAN Disk for heartbeat. (#cfgmgr on both server)

3. Make sure the disk number (pvid) is the same as the standby server. #lspv on both server.

4. Change the parameter to Normal to Slow.
Smitty hacmp ; Extended Configuration ; Configure Hacmp Network Module
Change a Network Module using Pre-defined Values ; Select diskhb
Update failture Detection Rate to Slow.

5. Create Disk Heartbeat Network
Smitty hacmp ; Extended Configuration ; Extended Topology Configuration
Configure HACMP Networks ; Add a Network to the HACMP Cluster

6. Create Corruent Disk Heartbeat group.
Smitty hacmp ; Extended Configuration ; Discover HACMP-related Information from Configured Nodes.
Smitty Hacmp ; C-SPOC ; Storage ; Volume Groups ; Manage Concurrent Access Groups for Multi-Node Disk Heartbeat ; Create a new Volume Group and Logical Volume for Multi-Node Disk Heartbeat.

7. Monitor Heartbeat . Make sure heartbeat misses are not increasing.
#lssrc -ls topsvcs | grep "Missed HBs"
